Will the pharmacy let me swap out damaged Xanax for new ones?
I have a prescription for Xanax that I take whenever I get anxiety attacks. I took a pill the other night and I guess I didn't screw the cap back on properly because my cat or something must have knocked the bottle over and my pills ended up on the bathroom floor. I'm not about to take anything that's been sitting on my linoleum all night collecting 1000 germs. Do you think if I call the pharmacy in the morning and explain, they'll let me replace the pills, provided I pay for them and bring my old pills up there to show them I still have them and didn't take them? I know Xanax is a drug that's often abused, but I would think as long as I show them my old pills it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I don't want to take anything that's been on my bathroom floor for hours. The pharmacy doesn't open until morning, but do you think they will let me replace them with clean ones?
