Does "Once Saved" protect Catholics?

I read a website that was preaching 'once saved, always saved' and this guy basically said that as long as you keep believing in 'once saved always saved' then you are saved. But if you ever stop believing in 'once saved always saved' then you were never saved. So, basically they cover themselves from all angles.
