Running a car on a burnt ignition coil?

I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Montero and the far right ignition coil seemed to be arching and burn a hole in the top of it. I have been running it like this for about 2 weeks now and haven't noticed any problems. I have about 150 more miles before i can make it back home i was wondering if i could make it back and replace it when i return.
